Website Redesign

After many years, I decided it was about time that I update our website to a more modern style, for easier viewing on smartphones, tablets, and different sizes of computer screens.  I have refreshed the website theme and the menu system, along with numerous other minor tweaks.  There are still some pages which need reformatting to look good in this new theme, and I'll update them in time.

I decided to keep the look of the website's banner (The "Scoop" on the Scotts) similar to the prior version, which actually has matched up with our printed newsletters for many years, but the rest of the site is now using a brighter theme so it doesn't feel as "heavy" as the older version of the site.  I'm still using Google Sites, as this framework is quite easy to update when I need to post new content, and I'm not doing anything really fancy which would require a different tool.

I have not deleted any of the historical pages, so all of our newsletters going back over 10 years are still on the site as well as other prior articles.  I just wanted to make the site more responsive and streamlined with simplified menus.  I will continue to refine the site as I see things that need to be fixed, or have other ideas for good design.  I'm not a website designer so of course my site is not going to look like a professional site which someone has paid thousands of dollars for!  But hopefully it is functional and easy for you to find what you are looking for.

Let me know what you think of the new look and feel, or if you have suggestions for improvements!
